Frida Giannini, Worker of Miracles

I am really digging Gucci under Frida Giannini. What used to be a label I sincerely despised has slowly morphed itself into something that I actually kind of like. How peculiar... this is, afterall, a brand I commonly associate with expensive sluttiness. Giannini is really trying to class things up. Their collection for Spring is one of my favorites of the season, and I've just seen the Fall 07 today. And, overall, I really liked it.

This coat is so beautifully cut, and in such a lovely, unusual shade of orange. It gets prettier every time I look at it. Quite simply put, Oo la la.

Why I like this outfit has everything to do with the fact that it looks kind of Harry Potter-ish. And I am not afriad to admit it. GRYFFINDOR.

Why, some of these accessories are borderline preppy. I never thought I'd see the day that Gucci and Ralph Lauren would have comparable aesthetics.

It is indeed a strange universe.

Ooo, I too did not realize that Gucci was putting out such amazing clothes; the red trench and that double breasted sweater are gorgeous.

You are so right, she classy things up. And she does it very very good! Love the second outfit, especially the vest/sweater. And gloves with belts, <3!

leather makes me really excited. especially black leather. and gold.

also, that maroon sweater thing rocks my face. i'm a big fan of grandparent reminiscent sweaters.

this collection is very disappointing! its very different from the past gucci collection.wheres the sex appeal???its classy?i dont think so i think frida should learn some points to her former boss tom ford and i dont know why many was praising this gucci collection and what happened in the ad campaigns wheres its appeal??i mis what mario testino's sex in gucci advertisements.i understand the companys disposition that take the gucci brand into anotheer level but wheres the legacy of sensuality of sexuality gucci is asscociate to this because of what TOM FORD did. i hope frida's next collection would be very sexy and very sensual, but in her own vocabulary.
